How many people can the boat hold?

The max number of people on the boat is 10 people.

Do I need a boat licence?

No. But we will need to see a drivers licence.

What if I’ve never driven a boat before?

No worries, we will give you clear instructions so you know what to do and when to do it. If you forget, there are clear instructions on the Cruising Round 1770 boat as well.

What happens if we break down or get stuck?

Radio, Medical, Paddles and Fire Extinguisher under seats

All the boats are fitted with a marine radio that we monitor on VHF channel 20 between 8:00am and 5:00pm. You should also be in phone range for the entire time so you can also just ring one of our friendly staff and we’ll come and get you. We are here to help.

Where can I go in the boat?

A set of overhead maps and recent images will be provided to you in each boat. One of the friendly staff will explain the areas to safely operate the boat and any off-limit areas where the rocks or current present a risk of damage or injury before you go. If you are unsure once you are out there you can contact us by radio or phone for more guidance.

Can we take our pets?

We love pets too so yes our boats are pet friendly.

Can we go fishing on your boats?

We all enjoy going fishing at 1770 so yes please bring your rods and good luck!

What a fun experience in 1700! Cruising round 1770 offers a solo or driver boating experience on cute life buoy looking boats. With a great safety and “how-to” check at the beginning of your session, we were off in no time driving around the bay. You can choose how long your session times are and they sit 6-10 people. Paying extra for the BBQ and esky were worth it as well!! We were able to stop at sand bays as well to do some exploring like captain cook himself! Would definitely recommend this experience to all!!

We had a great couple of hours cruising around the bay in 1770. There were 8 of us and plenty of room. We stopped and swim when we found a good spot. The water was very clear and it was just relaxing to be on the water. Great service, great boats and a lot of fun. Highly recommend it if you don’t have your own boat.

Amazing time out on the round boat, with our skipper James! Run by beautiful local family who know the area intimately. Perfect for the whole family. Kids loved it too. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Agnes who wants to get out and explore from the water.

Cruising Round 1770 is a locally owned business that has grown from a family history of ocean goers.

We grew up around marine environments, on top and below the water and figure that any day on the water is better than a day stuck in an office.

We’ve always wanted to share the experience of the ocean and the beauty of 1770 with its beautiful views and sheltered waters.
